Re-Mind
Movement sessions aimed at wellbeing, awareness and enjoyment
Re-Mind is an inclusive wellbeing project in which gentle exercises, mindfulness, body awareness and creativity are used to create a fun and relaxing atmosphere for participants. Aiming to benefit both physical and mental health, sessions allow participants to reconnect with themselves as well as interacting with others.

During Re-Mind sessions participants are encouraged to make their own choices, with invitations to engage in a variety of ways. Tasks are designed to offer a thoughtful and enjoyable experience on the day, as well as offering tools that participants can take away and continue to explore.

Variations of Re-Mind have been offered to groups of all ages and abilities, including people who have experienced trauma, young adults in areas of deprivation, elderly adults with dementia, refugees, dance students, dance/theatre practitioners, mental health professionals and the general public.

Developed by Jorja through Scottish Dance Theatre and The Bridge Awards Exclusive Dance Development Internship in 2018, Re-Mind has been offered in weekly class format as well as one off workshops and half day events. Since completing the internship, the project has continued with support from Art Angel, Women's Aid and Mind Your Head.
